We are having a water scarcity problem nowadays. Usage of water should be managed efficiently and safely to avoid its scarcity. There are many ways to save water, and one of t is water harvesting. This process can be done in two significant methods like rainwater harvesting and groundwater harvesting. In rainwater harvesting, rainwater is collected and stored into natural reservoirs or tanks or sub-surface aquifers. On another hand, groundwater harvesting g is to control the flow of groundwater and raise the table of water. Other sources to save water are drip irrigation method and water-wise habits. Drip irrigation method roots from various save water by dripping either to the soil surface or onto the root, and it is a traditional method. Different wise habits are available to purify water or to conserve it.
Water management is necessary for future irrigation expectations also. Water resource management includes disciplines of hydrology. Water is supply to agricultural, municipal, industrial, and ecological needs. Balancing between broad re of stakeholders and include water policy and legal experts. India has only 4% of renewable resources. India has around 20 river basins, and most of them are stressed due to increasing demand from a growing population and economic activity.
